Our partnership with the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) continues to expand ways that music professionals see and hear quality barbershop. On February 20, 2014, the Westminster Chorus opened the ACDA Western Conference meeting with a spectacular performance that brought the crowd to its feet in a thunderous ovation.

Shawn York captured the story in this incredible video: The Westminster Journey to ACDA: Barbershop in the Choral Community.

What an incredible honor it was to share our incredible artform with so many choral music educators. I’m probably not the only member of Westminster who experience emotions I can’t put into words during that performance. We loved the audience and they loved us back. I hope we did barbershop a world of good and positive PR in the choral world. Hopefully this is only the beginning of many more relationships!
