The Carolina Panthers hosted a news conference on Wednesday for tackle Jordan Gross to address the media following the announcement of his retirement. There were lots of nice things said, but let’s focus on the part that really mattered: Ryan Kalil as part of a barbershop quartet-style act singing “Happy Trails.”  There’s also another view, with better set-up, on the Carolina Panthers website.

You forgot to mention that he was singing with three parts of the 2013 Carolina’s District Quartet Champs Zero Hour. Ryan, Center for the Panthers, contacted us about helping him with this gift to his teammate. Ben Mills, our tenor, took the lyrics and worked with Ryan to come up with the arrangement. We rehearsed with Ryan and unfortunately for me as the lead in our quartet I was not needed for the gig (I had to work that day)! So thanks to the 2013 Carolina’s District Quartet Champs who made this gift to Ryan’s teammate possible! Our website is zerohourquartet.com and feel free check us out!
