Sing like there is NO TOMORROW GUYS!!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE COMPETITORS!
Gosh it seems like only yesterday when I (and some of good friends in USA) convinced the good old “SPEBSQSA” folks in Kenosha to allow me to bring over Southern Harmony (NZABS) to be the first non North American Quartet to compete in the Collegiate contest.
They caused a mini riot with their popularity and also the fact that they went home with a Bronze medal. Now look at the number of truly international quartets in that contest. It thrills me to see it.
And yep an NZASB quartets even eventually won the contest.. (Musical Island Boys) another first for a non North American collegiate group.
We broke the mold and boy it proved to be a great decision that was made by the International Barbershop Harmony society..
Knock em dead, After Hours. We’re proud of you!!
Good Luck Powerhouse!!! The Meadows family is rooting for you in Iowa, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Minnesota!
